Description

The Royal Burgh of Culross, in the Kingdom of Fife, is an enchanting little place which looks rather like a film location set for historical dramas - and often is used for this purpose. It lies in a sort of time-warp on the Firth of Forth. This walk explores Culross and its hinterland and returns along the Fife Coastal Path.

Access Info

Culross lies on the B9037 road. Coming from the west (Kincardine) direction, drive carefully (20mph limit) through its narrow main street to reach the eastern car park at NS 989859.

Additional Info

Culross Abbey opens between 9.30am and 7pm on weekdays and between 2 and 7pm on Sundays, from April to September; and until 4pm from October to March.
