Description
Most people who've done it are likely to list Liathach in their top 10 Scottish peaks - the combination of a high level traverse, spectacular deep corries, interesting scrambling and good views over the surrounding hills and lochs make it deservedly popular. Liathach is the most demanding of the Torridon peaks with some fine scrambling. The classic traverse starts from the east end and follows the ridge, over Spidean a Choire Leith and the pinnacles of Am Fasarinen to reach the second Munro summit at Mullach an Rathain before descending to Loch Torridon.
Access Info
There is a car park next to the bridge over the in Glen Torridon, (GR 957568) known as ¿the Beinn Eighe car park¿ which is the normal start point. The post bus can be used to reach this point but times are not ideal for big mountain days.
Additional Info
With a steep ascent and descent and some narrow and exposed sections this is a true mountaineer¿s mountain requiring relevant skills ¿ this is particularly true under snow when some winter climbing skills are required.

The SMC guides The Munros and The North-west Highlands give excellent descriptions.
