Description
A forest walk near Inverness. Forest Commission Scotland display information en route. Parts of the route can be muddy so suitable footwear required. It can be shortened to 3 miles, suitable for a family walk. The walk is in two parts separated by a short (300m) walk on a minor road. The two parts are in contrast, the first containing narrower and newer trails, the second with older, broader, (and muddier) tracks. There are views to the Black Isle. In wet weather some of the paths can be muddy, so appropriate footwear is necessary.

Entrance to the car park is at: NH717457. The walk is easily reached by the frequent Inverness - Balloch bus service (No 1 or 2).
Additional Info
There is the chance to see hawks, buzzards, deer, mushrooms (Cep and Chanterelle) in season. Also of interest are the Wishing Well, and the Prisoner's Stone.
