Description

A steady climb up Millstone Hill through Douglas fir , then open Scots pine woodland and then on to the open hill which is moorland. An excellent hill in which to see Bennachie, Pitfichie and the Vale of Alford. Then the walk descends the north side of Millstone and then continues through mixed conifer woodland. The walk finishes at the Bennachie Centre. For more information click on the Forestry Commission's web link below. The Trail is Waymarked from the car park.

Access Info

This walk starts at the Don View Car Park. From Monymusk head north towards Blairdaff. After about 1.5 miles the Donview Car park and walks are sign posted off to the left. Turn left and follow minor road towards Keig, for about 2 miles. This road follows the river Don and is called the Lords Throat. Please note that this walk finishes at a different car park (The Bennachie Centre).
