Description
A pleasant walk starting near the Braeloine Visitor Centre for Glen Tanar Estate, this walk goes north to the Dee Valley and affords spectacular views over the valleys of both the Dee and the Tanar. The walk is much less busy and more pastoral than the better-known routes in the main section of the valley. Most of the walk is on well-made paths or farm tracks, although for part of the route the trail goes through pastureland where the way is less obvious.
This walk starts at the wooded car park near the visitor centre for Glen Tanar estate. It heads northwards away from the valley of the Tanar along paths and farm tracks. Dotted along the way are a number of stones inscribed with messages and placed there.
