Description
From the car park on the south side of the main street in Callander, opposite the hotel, follow the footpath across the meadow to join the cyclepath. Turn left and walk along the path past Bochastle Farm to the A821. Continue straight across the road passing The impressive Falls of Leny after 1 mile. From the next road junction follow a minor road, past a barrier and on towards the Forestry Commission chalets; to continue from Stank to Strathyre, proceed along the track and after 1.5 miles keep left and climb steeply to join another track running across the hill. Just before Laggan Farm, turn right down a small footpath to join the line of the old railway. After a further half mile, the footpath climbs back uphill to rejoin the farm track. At the next group of houses turn right and then left onto a small footpath, cross the River Balvag and walk through the car park into Strathyre.
