Description
Ballygrant to Finlaggan - From Ballygrant follow the main road towards Port Askiag as far as the signpost to Finlaggan. Turn left and after about 1/2 mile left again to reach the visitor centre. Return by the outward route.
Ballygrant to Port Askaig - Leave Ballygrant along the road to Mulindry. At the first junction turn left and then left again down the private track into the woods. Continue past Loch Ballygrant along the track going gently downhill through the woods. Keep to the left at all junctions until emerging by the lodge house near the hotel at Port Askaig. Return by the same route or by bus.
Access Info
Both walks start from Ballygrant, six miles from Bowmore on the A846 to Port Askaig. There is a regular bus and postbus service on this road. Details of all bus and ferry services are available free of charge from the tourist information centre in Bowmor
